Stitch DC is offering week-long summer classes for kids ages between 8-12. Sign up for more than one class and receive a 10 % discount off all additional summer kids classes. Materials are included in the class fee. All classes are limited to 6 students. If you are interested in designing your own class, just email me to discuss projects and dates.

KNITTING AND CROCHET
Intro to Knitting and Crochet

This class is for students 8 to 12years old who want to learn to knit and crochet. During this week-long workshop, students will learn to dye their own yarns using Kool-Aid dyes. And then knit a scarf with their own creations. Students will also learn basic crochet to make flower embellishments for their handmade scarf. Learn to make Fiber CreaturesThis class is for students 8 to 12years old who want to learn to knit and crochet. During this week-long workshop, students will learn to knit and crochet and make super cute AMIGURUMI creatures. Students will learn basic knitting and crochet that can be used to make cute little dolls. Class size is limited to 6 students

Kid's Hand Sewing This class is for students 8 to 12years old who want to learn to sew by hand. During this week-long workshop, students will learn the basics of hand sewing by making a simple projects such as a totebag, pillow and headband. Students will also personalize their projects using fun embroidery embellishments! Class size in limited to 6.

This class is for students 8 to 12years old who want to learn to sew. During this week-long workshop, students will learn the basics of hand sewing by making first using different eco friendly fabric dyeing and painting techniques to custom design their own fabric and then using this fabric sew a unique totebag.

Learn to Hand Sew Softie Creatures
This class is for students 8 to 12years old who want to learn to sew by hand. During this week-long workshop, students will learn the basics of hand sewing by making stuffed animal dolls with felt, cotton and found fabrics from old tee shirts, socks, jeans and sweaters. Great class to learn both sewing and clothing recycling ideas!

This class is for students 8 to 12years old who want to learn to sew by hand. We also added made one weekend session for a parent and child class! During this week-long workshop, students will learn the basics of hand sewing by making a quilt using old tee-shirts and upcycled fabrics. Kids will bring tee-shirts and we'll cut them and sew them into a 45" x 45" quilt. This is a great way to upcycle old materials and turn old tee-shirts to a cherished memory blanket.
