I love it when someone walks in and tells me a story about how they made their own wedding favors or knitted a beautiful shawl for their dress. There is so much that goes into wedding planning that I'm always amazed about how the bride (or groom) used her craftiness to make it truly unique. It's been 13 years since my wedding and I still think about the fun things I made. Maybe I can convince Alan to renew and have a completely DIY wedding (in all my spare time)
So I thought it would be fun to have a DIY Wedding Extravangza Workshop where we work on some wedding day projects. The classes will incorporate multiple disciplines -- crochet, sewing, and knitting. These projects are easy so if you are a beginner you can do them or if you are an intermediate, the tasks was stress you out.
The workshop will be Saturdays July 10, 17, and 24 from 5-7 pm. We will make crocheted garter bands and a handmade fascinator (see right for an example), sewn silk flower ring pillow, and a knitted shawl that Marie is designing right now. The class will be $90 plus materials. (Students receive a 10% discount off all materials for the class). Register Online
