Stitch DC Weekend Events

Looking for something to do this weekend, we have a couple of spaces available for ....
COLOR ADVENTURES AND EXPLORATION. Guest designer, Mary Jane Mucklestone, will bring her unique projects and teach fair isle techniques and design on Saturday 12/5. From 11-5 pm lunch included. $85/materials not included. Just call the store or email marie@marieconnolly.com to sign up.

Other stuff to do this weekend at Stitch DC...

It's gonna get cold, Al Roker just mentioned possible snow this weekend. Do you have your woolen hats, scarves, mittens and socks ready for the chill...

Quick Knits to Ward off the Chill:

* Letty's Cowl, a single slip stitch brioche with less than one skein of Twinkle Soft Chunky.
* Mega Cabled Scarf, try out a simple braided cable for this oversized scarf.
* Elf Hat.. i love this hat, it big, soft and so fun with the mega pompom on top.
* Or maybe this Shrug from Erika Knight.

Or maybe a little sewing with the New Mary Flannagan Felted Wool Fabric that should arrive today. I love these matching set from Martha Stewart. Hat and Mitten.

I'll have free demonstration classes for all of these items on Saturday from 1-4 and Sunday from 1-3. Come in and learn a new skill, make something quick and check off another gift from your holiday list. The demonstrations are free with the purchase of materials.

All these classes. Enjoy! I'm working on the new schedule for January and I'll have sewing classes included in the list. Come in and see the new fabrics and of course the many new fibers that arrive at Stitch DC!
