Free Patterns -- Mittens

"are you ready for your holiday projects?"

This is Session #2 of Stitch DC Holiday Knit Alongs. This week are featuring Mittens. I've found three free patterns ranging from easy handwarmers to fair isle mittens. You choose your pattern. And join us on Sunday from 1-3 where I teach you new techniques.

#1 Maine Morning Mitts -- Fingerless mitts pattern excerpted from The Knitter's Book of Yarn. The pattern suggests using some beautiful hand dyed yarns and work this simple pattern. A new knitter could easily make these mitts!

#2: Bella's Mittens: Inspired by Twilight's Bella's Mittens. Easy Cable using Bulky yarns. This can also be converted into simple handwarmers by leaving off the mitten top.

#3: Herringbone Mittens: Fair Isle mittens with pompoms (yes, I love pompoms almost as much as bobbles). Try out knitting fair isle with worsted weight yarn and and easy pattern repeat.
See you sunday from 1-3 pm
Pick one or all of the patterns and start making gifts. Be sure to save a favorite one for yourself!
Special thanks to designer of the patterns above. These are courtesy of Ravelry. Just some favorite patterns that I found while spending a little time ;) on Ravelry.com
