This Weekend at Stitch DC

Hanna and Ike may come for a visit, so I plan on a great weekend for knitting. I've finished a couple of deadlines and contracted knitting projects so I can enjoy some personal knitting. One is a new school sweater for Nora. Maybe I'll share the new pattern too when I'm finished.

As for this weekend, if you're looking for new knitting project or just some knit inspiration, try out a couple of our classes.

At Capitol Hill on Saturday...

Make Brooklyn Tweed uber-fabulous Hemlock Ring Blanket. Just two skeins of Cascade Eco Wool and you're ready for the knitting. We have a wonderful sample at the store thanks to Rachel, who also will be teaching the class on Saturday from 1-3 pm.

Also this weekend, the second installment of our Mitten Along. If you missed the first class, no worries. Just come from 1-3 pm at Capitol Hill and we'll get you started on easy or hard mittens. Your choice!

Sunday at Georgetown
Learn to make a Cabled Hat with Amber. Make a stylish cabled hat to spice up your fall/winter wardrobe. Learn to make cables, as well as knit in the round if you’ve never tried it. September 7 & 14 / 11 am to Noon / $45 plus materials

If you are just a beginner, we have a few slots left in our beginner class that starts on September 9 on Capitol Hill too. Check out the website for all the classes
