After writing this out a couple of times last night for some customers, I decided I'd share it with the world. It's a simple waffle knit pattern with applied icords for the edges. It makes a very nice scarf for any guy. Maybe Alan will get one in red this year.
I made this scarf a couple of years ago in Supercashmere but wanted to reknit it in the new Blue Sky Suri Merino.
Leggo my Scarf Pattern
Gauge: 5 stitches = 1"
Needles: US 10
Yarn Requirements: 2 skeins of Blue Sky Suri Merino (164 yards each)
Abbreviations:
WYIB: with yarn in back
PW: purl wise
Finished scarf: 5" wide by 45" long
Cast on 25 stitches
Row 1: Slip 3 Purlwise WYIB, k1, * p1, k1 repeat from * to last 3 stitches, P3
Row 2: Slip 3 PW wyib, knit to last three stitches, P3
repeat rows 1 and 2 until 45" long or desired length.
Bind off loosely.
