Mother Day Workshops and Gift Ideas

Happy Mother's Day...

Make a few quick nice items for mom this saturday with Stitch DC

Check out these FREEE workshops at Stitch DC this Saturday...

From 11:30 to 1:00 pm -- Bring the kids (7 and up) to make fabric flowers for Mom.  You can make a ring or corsage version.  I'm wearing mine as a ring and I love it! The class is Free with a purchase of materials... ($4.50 for each flower)

From 1:30 to 3:30 -- Learn to felt with Stitch DC and make a pretty felted nesting bowl (as shown above).  It's a quick knit and then throw it in the washer machine to shrink it.  The workshop is free with purchase of materials.

No time to knit, you can always pick up a beautiful knitting bag for your Mom or a gift certificate.  We have lots of gifty ideas, so just ask.  Two great gift ideas are 1.  The Lady B craft bag (shown right).  and 2.  a ceramic yarn holder bowl made by the artists at Eastern Market Ceramics specially for Stitch DC.

Lastly, Stitch DC will be closed on Sunday Mothers Day so we can all enjoy the day!  See you saturday!
