This Weekend at Stitch DC

It's a busy weekend at Stitch DC....

We have classes:

Saturday:
11:15 to 12:15 / $15...Improve your knitting by building your skill base. Sometimes knowing a new, better or improved way to do what we take for granted can make your project even better.

3 knitted toes: figure eight toes, provisional toes, & basic decreased toes. feb27 / 11:15 to 12:15 pm $15.  -- Space available.  Just email me to reserve a spot at marie@marieconnolly.com.  Bring or buy at Stitch DC, worsted weight yarn and size 7/8 needles (circulars or double pointed needles).

1-3 pm:  Zippers and Hems:  Using the aline skirt pattern, we'll learn to insert a zipper and hem a skirt. 

3-5 pm:  Learn to Sew:  using Stitch DC's newest pattern, Spring Sewn Blanket.  This is a perfect quick intro to sewing with a machine.  We have machines that you can use during class or bring your own.  $35 plus materials -- UPDATE THIS CLASS IS FULL.

SUNDAY:
Learn to Knit FAST:  1 hour class from 11-12 pm / $15 dollars plus materials.  You'll learn the knit stitch and be on your way to making a Scarf! Email marie@marieconnolly.com to sign up. 

Announcing Stitch DC's March Knitalong.  Sometimes a project comes along that is so exciting that we must sponsor a Knitalong.  So, here it is...

Have you seen the new Interweave Knits... We have copies at the store. 
And we are starting this new FREE pattern, Yggdrasil Afghan. as our March Knit A Long.  It comes in three sizes.  Just imagine this project made in Blue Sky Cotton or Karabella's Soft Tweed.  A great affordable choice is Cascade 220.  Anyway, the pattern uses worsted weight yarns, you'll learn tons in this knit along including Provisional Cast ons; Reading Charts, Cables, Pattern Reading.  The knit along will be every Saturday from 1-3 pm and Tuesdays from 1-3 pm.  Stop in and knit with us.  At each session, there will be expert help to answer questions.  Remember, our Knit along are free with purchase of materials for the project from the store.  You also receive double points on your Reward Card for Knit along Purchases.
