Weekend Events at Stitch DC Oct 31 & Nov 1

It's halloween this Saturday. Holiday festivities have started already for the kids. Nora's parade was yesterday, Cole marched today. Oonagh's costume is drying (yes I went a little felting crazy) so you'll have to wait to see her costume.

We have a busy trick or treating schedule this weekend but I'm also working at the store. So why not have a trick or treat party at Stitch DC from 1-3 on Saturday. Stop by, show off a fun costume (on you or your kids or your pets, whatever!) and get a treat. Best costume will receive a $30 gift certificate. You must be present for the prize. So dress up, bring your knitting, hang out and share in the festivities.

Then on Sunday, remember the CHANGE OF TIME. We fall back an hour! Sleep thank you!

Then from 1-3 on Sunday, I am pleased to announce I will have a guest teacher for our Holiday workshop. Letty Shapiro will be teaching her Sideways Neck Scarf. She and I worked on this scarf last year so I was thrilled when she showed up last month to show it off and to say I want to teach others what you taught me! The pattern is a really easy Slip Stitch Brioche Rib on big needles and big yarn to make a beautiful cowl. Think quick and easy and fashionable!

To (mummy) wrap up:
* Saturday 1-3 pm: Dress Up Sit and Knit. Trick or Treat with Stitch DC. Possibly win a will receive a $30 gift certificate for best costume. Prize will be given out at 3:00 pm on Saturday

* Sunday 1-3 pm: Holiday Gift Workshop: a free class with the purchase of materials. Learn to knit Letty's Sideways Neck Scarf with Letty herself!
