the year of the owl

Learn how to make an owl this weekend...
Class from 2:30 to 4:30 on Saturday. Make an Owl Blanket Square or an Owl Cowl. Same technique two different products. Or try out the owl and be inspired to make your own Owl Sweater. class is free with purchase of materials
doesn't it seem that owls are everywhere. almost 4000 ravelers have this sweater in their queue. Two of my staff have made it already. Here is Laurin striking a pose in her new sweater.

There is an owl that lives in the tree across the street from my house and a house on 6th Street is known as the Owl house because of Owl finials.

So instead of bunnies for Easter. How about a friendly owl...

This Saturday at Capitol Hill, we will learn how to make the owl motif. Hint... it's a cable stitch. We'll make this pretty square. You can use it as an extra square for the Stitch DC 2009 blanket or made out of Cotton it's a perfect washcloth that is so GREEN.

Or if you want a bit more fun, how about this OWL COWL . The cowl is a perfect accessory. You can stick it in your purse, pull it out when you have a chill and then take it off again when you warm up. And in this crazy March/April weather,
you'll be happy that you have a little knitted something to warm up with when the weather suddenly changes from 70 degrees to 45 degrees.
