CLASSES AT STITCH DC

FREE CRAFT ALONGS*…
Join us for our free Stitch DC Blanket class each month. Each month, join us at our Capitol Hill Stitch to knit or crochet square. Learn a new knit or crochet stitch and work on 1 of your 12 blanket squares. Missed last month. No problem. Just come and ask for last month's pattern or check out the blog.
At Capitol Hill Store: March 8 / 2-4 pm; April 12 / 2-4 pm; May 24 / 2-4 pm

BEGINNER CLASSES
LEARN TO KNIT: Three steps to knitting. The first class will cover just the beginning – casting on and knitting. Class 2 we explore the other stitch – Purl – and start to learn stitch patterns. In class number 3, you’ll learn how to fix basic mistakes and bind off. You can choose to take one, two or three. If you decide to take all three, you must sign up for all three at the same time. Materials are not included in the class fee.

CRASH COURSE – HOW TO KNIT
An extra 1 day / 2 hour crash course on knitting… By the end of the 120 minutes you’ll be knitting your first scarf. $35/ plus materials / GEORGETOWN / Sunday / March 29 / 12 to 2 pm
LEARN TO CROCHET: Easy steps to crocheting. The first class will cover just the beginning – chain, foundation row, single, double and treble crochets. Class 2 we explore the other stitchs and how to read crochet charts and master the granny square. You can choose to take one or two. If you decide to take both, you must sign up for them at the same time. Materials are not included in the class fee. One class -- $35 / Two classes--$60
Class 1: March 23 / 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Class 2: April 6 / 6:30 to 8:30pm


ADVANCED CLASSES – If you know how to knit/purl or crochet, then these classes are the next steps!
Independent Study: Design your own class. Bring your project, get expert advice and enjoy a pleasant knit/crochet group. Knitter and Crocheters welcome.$20 per session. Buy 4 sessions and get one free!

SWEATERS
SUMMER SHELL: Knit your first sweater – A summer shell – no sleeves and knit in the round. As easy as knitting a hat! Easy top down, and very little finishing. This is a hit! Two sessions. Materials not included in class fee. Saturdays in Georgetown / March 21 and 28 / 12-1:30 pm / $55 plus materials.







BABY KNITS: Marie has been busy designing new projects for kids. Knit your first sweater using this adorable pattern – SIDE TO SIDE SWEATER. The pattern is very easy and can be sized up to an adult. Class fee includes signed copy of Terra Baby Collection Booklet. Capitol Hill March 12 & 19 / 6:30 – 8:00 $55 plus materials




LACE – Knit and Crochet Classes
LACE KNITTING : Lace doesn’t have to mean a shawl. Learn to read a lace pattern while knitting this stylish hat. Two 1.5 hour sessions. Capitol Hill / April 4 and 11 / 1 to 2:30 pm $55 plus materials.


LACE KNITTING: A beautiful shawl knit in worsted weight yarn. Many yarns to choose from – from cottons to cashmeres to merinos to bamboo. Learn to read charts and techniques for making lace knitting as easy as pie! Three sessions 1-2:30 pm Capitol HIll / Sundays / March 15 and 22 / $55

LACE CROCHET: Learn a new skill for Spring… Crochet and Lace. This beautiful shawl/capelet will be a perfect fashionable addition to your spring and summer wardrobes. Two 1.5 hour sessions. $55 plus materials. Capitol Hill / 6:30 -8:00 / April 14 and 21



SOCKS -- TOES UP!Do you worry about running out of yarn when you make socks? Both first time sock knitters and experienced sock knitters are welcome!Georgetown / March 7 and 14 / 12 – 1:30 pm / $55 plus materials
